Which 3D printer is right for our practice, lab or hospital?
That depends on the application, quantity and part size. The Formlabs Form 4B is the versatile choice for dental and medical use, while the Form 4BL prints large anatomical models in one piece. For PEEK parts, there are the Creatbot PEEK printers. We will be happy to advise you individually.
Are the materials biocompatible?
For many applications there are biocompatible materials with manufacturer certifications. We will work out together which material suits your application.
Can printed parts be sterilized?
Depending on the material, steam, gamma or EtO sterilization is possible. The manufacturer specifies the validated methods for each material.
What is the difference between resin printing and PEEK printing?
Resin printers (SLA) such as the Form 4B produce highly detailed models, guides and splints. PEEK printers process a high-performance polymer using fused filament fabrication, which is used for patient-specific implants, among other things.
