Creatlabs D800 Ultra

Creatlabs D800 Ultra

Large-format production with linear motor drive.

The D800 Ultra is one of the first two printers from Creatlabs, Creatbot’s new high-end brand. Its Mag-Lev linear motor drive combines high speed with assembly-ready precision and consistent series quality – in a build volume of 800 × 650 × 650 mm. Designed for 24/7 operation, it takes you from prototype to small batch and series production and complements CNC machining and injection moulding.

Large build volume with heated chamber

With a build volume of 800 × 650 × 650 mm, the D800 Ultra prints large parts in one piece. The actively heated 80 °C chamber keeps the temperature stable for the best results with engineering plastics such as ASA and ABS.

Linear motor drive

Mag-Lev linear motors instead of belts or lead screws: up to 1100 mm/s and 10,000 mm/s² acceleration with frictionless, precise motion.

Precision that lasts

±0.05 mm per 100 mm – automatic calibration and real-time compensation keep accuracy at the same level for years.

High material throughput

Two independent extruders (IDEX) up to 420 °C with a 90 mm³/s flow rate melt the material completely even at high speed – for strong layer adhesion.

Fully automatic calibration

Eddy current bed levelling with 0.001 mm probing accuracy in 60 seconds, XY offset via HD camera with AI image recognition, Z offset via two photoelectric sensors.

Consistent series

Identical parts from several printers or assemblies from different machines fit together without rework.

Safe in continuous operation

Schneider electrics, door interlock, emergency stop, thermal protection and a built-in HEPA activated carbon filter for round-the-clock operation.

Production costs that pay off

From prototype to series production

The D800 Ultra shortens lead times, reduces dependence on suppliers and lowers production costs. Example tool case in ASA (top and bottom part, 1.2 kg): 45 hours of printing and 52 kWh of electricity – a conventional FFF printer needs around 100 hours and 115 kWh. The cluster management system lets you control entire printer farms centrally.

Frequently asked questions

How does the D800 Ultra differ from the Creatbot D600 Pro3 HS?

The D800 Ultra belongs to the new Creatlabs Ultra series (FFF 2.0) and moves the print head with Mag-Lev linear motors instead of belts. According to the manufacturer, this means higher speed (up to 1100 mm/s), better surfaces and detail fidelity, and greater batch consistency. Daily output is two to three times that of conventional industrial FFF printers.

Which materials can I print with the D800 Ultra?

The open material system processes standard and engineering plastics such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, nylon and TPU as well as fibre-reinforced materials such as PA-CF, PET-CF, PPS-CF and PA-GF. The chamber heated to 80 °C and nozzle temperatures up to 420 °C ensure stable results.

Is the D800 Ultra suitable for series production?

Yes. It is designed for continuous 24/7 operation, maintains its accuracy through automatic calibration and real-time compensation, and delivers consistent parts across multiple printers. The cluster management system lets you monitor and control entire printer farms centrally.

How much material does the D800 Ultra print per day?

Around 1–2 kg in 24 hours with a 0.4 mm nozzle, and 2–5 kg with a 0.8 mm nozzle (manufacturer figure for PA-CF).

Which software do I need?

The CreatWare slicer software is included. Orca Slicer, Cura, Simplify3D and Prusa also work. The printer runs Klipper firmware and connects via USB, Wi-Fi or LAN.

What power supply and how much space does the D800 Ultra need?

220–240 V at 50–60 Hz, with a rated power of 7,000 W. The unit measures 1480 × 1080 × 1280 mm and weighs 370 kg – plan floor space and transport route accordingly.
