EinScan Trak
SHINING 3D EinScan Trak with tracker on tripod and spherical scanner

EinScan Trak

Marker-free scanning – from vehicles to details

The EinScan Trak is SHINING 3D’s first wireless tracking system that combines two scanners in one: in tracking mode it captures large objects up to 15 m³ without markers on the part, while in handheld scanner mode the detachable blue-laser scanner becomes an independent, wireless 3D scanner for details and hard-to-reach areas. This saves preparation time and covers everything from vehicles to small parts with a single system.

One system, two work modes

In tracking mode, the optical tracker follows the spherical scanner module via built-in retroreflective points – in most cases no markers on the object are needed. For details, the handheld scanner can be detached in one move and used independently without recalibration. Three laser modes cover fast surface scanning, fine details and deep holes.

Marker-free tracking

Retroreflective points on the scanner module replace adhesive markers on the object. This saves preparation and post-processing – for the highest accuracy requirements, global markers can still be used.

Detachable handheld scanner

The scanner can be detached without recalibration and works as a compact, wireless blue-laser scanner – ideal for narrow spaces, interiors and smaller parts.

Wireless and mobile

An included router connects tracker and scanner to the PC via Wi-Fi 6. Both run on batteries – up to 5.5 hours in tracking mode, and the batteries can be hot-swapped during operation.

Three laser modes

19 + 19 crossed lines for fast surface scanning, 7 parallel lines for fine details and a single line for deep holes and edges.

From vehicles to details

Flexible in every application

With a 15 m³ tracking volume, the EinScan Trak covers vehicle-sized objects – such as car bodies, boat decks or large sculptures. Interiors and hidden areas are captured with the detached handheld scanner. Together with EXScan Trak, EXModel and EXMeasure, the workflow leads directly from scan to CAD model or inspection report.

Frequently asked questions

Does the EinScan Trak need markers on the object?

In most cases, no. In tracking mode, the tracker follows the retroreflective points on the scanner module. For very large objects that require several passes, or for the highest accuracy requirements, the manufacturer additionally recommends global markers.

Can the handheld scanner be used on its own?

Yes. The scanner can be detached from the spherical frame and used without recalibration as a compact, wireless laser scanner – for example for narrow spaces, interiors or smaller parts.

How large can the objects be?

The tracking volume of up to 15 m³ covers vehicle-sized objects. Even larger objects can be captured in several passes using global markers.
