The FreeScan Combo+ Wireless is the next evolution of the SHINING 3D Combo family and works completely wirelessly. Wi-Fi 7 transfers data quickly and reliably, while 93 blue laser lines and up to 9.1 million points per second capture large surfaces in no time. Integrated video photogrammetry keeps volumetric accuracy high even on large components, and in infrared mode it scans medium-sized parts without any markers. Every unit is calibrated in a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and tested according to ISO 10360.

Integrated video photogrammetry (VPG)

Patented video photogrammetry continuously optimises the spatial position of the reference markers during scanning. This keeps cumulative errors low and achieves volumetric accuracy of up to 0.02 mm + 0.015 mm/m – ideal for large-scale measurements. Two validated scale bars are included, and no coded markers are required.

Wireless with Wi-Fi 7

Wi-Fi 7 and advanced anti-interference technology ensure fast, stable data transfer – on the factory floor, in confined spaces and outdoors. Wired operation is also possible.

Certified accuracy

Every scanner is calibrated in the SHINING 3D Accuracy Lab, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, and tested according to ISO 10360 – for traceable, metrology-grade results.

Faster scanning

93 blue laser lines for large surfaces, 25 parallel lines for fine details and a frame rate of up to 180 FPS speed up data acquisition without compromising quality.

Marker-free with infrared

The infrared mode captures medium-sized, feature-rich parts without markers. The blue laser also handles black and reflective surfaces very well.

Lightweight and compact

Weighing just 550 g and designed ergonomically, the scanner sits comfortably in the hand. The optimised camera angle makes it easier to work in narrow, complex areas and along seams.

Long runtime

Three swappable batteries with up to 2 hours of runtime each are included. The rapid-charging dock charges two batteries while the third is in use.

From scan to inspection report

Inspection-ready workflow

With a single click, scan data goes straight to SHINING3D Inspect – for dimensional inspection, GD&T analysis, colour deviation maps and automated reports. For reverse engineering, the scanner works with EXModel and Geomagic Design X; for inspection, also with Geomagic Control X and PolyWorks Inspector. The FreeScan software is included with no subscription and no hidden costs.

Frequently asked questions

Can the FreeScan Combo+ Wireless scan without markers?

Yes. The scanner has two light sources. The infrared light source can be used to quickly scan feature-rich workpieces without applying markers to the surface.

Does the wireless connection affect accuracy?

No. The wireless connection is used for data transfer only and has no effect on accuracy.

How is accuracy ensured on large objects?

Two validated scale bars are included. Together with the integrated video photogrammetry (VPG), the markers are verified in real time – improving overall accuracy on large objects.

How is the scanner powered?

Via the power cable, the swappable batteries or a power bank.

Can the scanner capture black or reflective objects?

Yes. The blue laser source handles black and reflective surfaces very well.

Is the scanner certified?

Yes. The scanner comes with an inspection report and calibration certificate traceable to ISO 10360. Calibration and verification are carried out in the accredited SHINING 3D Accuracy Lab in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
