Seamless transfer
Mesh data from the SHINING 3D scanning software is transferred to EXModel in one click – for a direct transition from scanning to design.
Mesh editing
Reduce data size while maintaining accuracy, fill holes and remove outliers – for watertight meshes.
Primitives extraction
Planes, cylinders, cones and spheres are reconstructed. Reference geometry such as lines and points makes alignment easier.
Free-form modelling and auto surfacing
Organic shapes are automatically reconstructed as surfaces in one click. With the quad surface tool, surfaces can also be built manually – snapping to the mesh.

Constrained 2D sketching
Dimensioning and constraint tools for accurate sketches. Interactive cutting provides the required reference points.
3D sketching and fill surfaces
Free-form curves are drawn directly on the reference mesh and turned into filled or bounded surfaces.
Hybrid modelling
Parametric standard features can be combined with free-form and prismatic features. Free-form surfaces remain editable afterwards.
Roll / unroll
Curved surfaces can be flattened or edited, and 2D sketches can be rolled back onto the original surface.
